Succesful exchange of nacelle lidars halfway through the measurement campaign of SAWOP

Within the GROW project Sensor Assisted Wind farm Optimisation, also called SAWOP, we are in the middle of a measurement campaign in the Klim Fjordeholme wind farm in Denmark (67.2 MW). In this campaign, we measure the wind with both nacelle LiDAR and spinner sensor technologies. We will use the campaign results to determine the performance of the wind farm and the sensors themselves in free-stream and wake conditions. Furthermore, with the gained information, we will develop methodologies to monitor the performance of individual turbines and the whole wind farm.
Mid-March, project partners TNO and Vattenfall exchanged two nacelle lidars as part of this measurement campaign to study the exchangeability of the two different systems. After the successful swap, the second and final stage of the measurement campaign can commence.
For this operation, we deployed a tall crane and had a drone with camera capture the operation. Unfortunately, visibility was limited due to fog. On the other hand, this led to mysterious images.
